Letter of the Week – Letter T

This week we started day 1 on a Wednesday, skipped the weekend and ended with day 5 on a Tuesday.  Because, really, you can’t have a T Party on any other day. 🙂

Day 1

  1. Find t stickers and put on T
  2. Color and assemble Letter T Book
  3. Go to library and get t books
  4. Put out T words (TV, toilet, table, towel, toys, tile…I highly recommend using masking or painting tape so nothing is ruined when  you pull it off)
  5. Starfall Computer Activity
  6. Video: Olive and the Rhyme Rescue Crew

Day 2

  1. Fill in T Outline and t Outline with: tape and tissue paper (other options: toothpicks, toilet paper, toothbrush with paint, toothpaste, torn paper, tinsel, trees
  2. Tip toe, twirl and turn
  3. Activity Sheet 1
  4. Activity Sheet 2

Day 3

  1. Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
  2. Make a terrarium (I just used an old glass storage container, leftover aquarium gravel, some leftover soil from our garden and some shells.  I got the plant at a grocery store from the floral lady who was about to use it to make an arrangement.  I’ve never seen small plants available to buy there, but buy it, I did. 🙂 )

  4. Activity Sheet 4
  5. Video: Get Squiggling!

Day 4

  1. Letter to a friend whose name starts with T
  2. Tap Tap Tapioca – Learn the dance, well, not so much learn it as try it. (You can find it here.  My daughter is young enough that she didn’t really notice the other story going on that involves the villain lacing Annette Funicello’s drink.  🙂   And if my daughter didn’t have a bit of a milk sensitivity still, we would’ve made some tapioca too.)
  3. She made up her own activity and made a tutu. 🙂
