Fortunately, grandpa and grandma visited this week (G people!).  I took full advantage and had them do the more hands on activities, while I was with the baby. These would not have otherwise gotten done.  Thanks, mom and dad! 🙂

Day 1

  1. Find g stickers and put on G
  2. Color and assemble letter G book
  3. Go through our books and get G books
  4. Put out G words (garbage can, guitar, glass…I highly recommend using masking or painting tape so nothing is ruined when you pull it off)
  5. Video: Olive and the Rhyme Rescue Crew

Day 2

  1. Fill in G outline and g outline with: grass and I was going to use glitter, but she said she wanted to write g’s, before I could suggest it.  I figured that was easier on me. 🙂 (other options: glitter, green, grey, gold, gold glitter)
  2. Play grocery store with sticker and prices and her piggy bank money
IMG_1957This is how she set it up.  I forgot to ask why the money was in front of it. 🙂
  3. Activity sheet 1
  4. Activity sheet 2

 Day 3

  1. Golf (with a broken Strawberry Shortcake kid’s golf club and a random ball…my grandpa would be appalled! 🙂 )
  2. Play gas station (I suggested she get something to take outside for putting gas in the “cars.”  She came out with a stuffed dog and said it was a “gas spitting dog.” Lol!)

Day 4

  1. Gallop around
  2. Letter to friend whose name starts with G
  3. Make a guitar – block of wood, four parallel nails she hammers in, and rubber bands.
  4. Starfall Computer Activity
  5. Song: Go for G
  6. Song: Gimme G!

Day 5

  1. Gather up any toys (animals are especially great for this) that start with the letter.  Create a centerpiece and display the items.  Apparently we do not have a lot of “G” items in our house: giraffe, green candle, gate, gardner, grandpa, granddaughter
